Always a crisis...every year we get some priceless photos that can't be used for anything but future blackmail.   This year, Riley decided he'd rather drive the Jeep than participate:

Our family made it to the Cheval brunch, and Tal was able to put in one more request for a Lego Mindstorms NXT robot. Phew!  Riley & Reagan opted not to sit for a photo with the scary man.

Incidentally, the Man in Red did come through with the Lego item...

Our little performer jammed out at what turned out to be a great Christmas presentation. That's Tal in the red sweater. He did a great job!

When I asked if he was sure he wanted to go, he said, "Yes. I don't want to disappoint my teachers."

The big excitement of the year is the new playset.  We love being outdoors this time of year, and Mom isn't planning on going out with four kids too often in the near future.  So far we are having a blast in what Tal calls his "Dream come true."  This is the side view...we ran out of battery power and will have to get more pics tomorrow.

So my camera skills are nil--I had the camera turned and decided at the last second to take video. So these are sidewards, but funny:

We got up early, miraculously got out the door at a decent time, and sat through atrocious traffic to get to church (yes, it is across the street).  We even made it into the building before Reagan decided to sabotage it.  After a nice lunch with Gramma & Potter, we came home to bake, watch movies, and play outside.  Saturday we even made it to a Christmas movie...thank goodness the shopping was done early.

The world's cutest kids in the world's cutest jammies!  Tal was obviously being tortured as he had to wait another few minutes to open gifts, and Riley is just happy that he scammed a chocolate cookie before breakfast.

Highlights of the day:

• Reagan opens any present for anyone, and doesn't care what is in it.
• Riley opening a GameBoy game and losing interest in everything else...except the chocolate cake later in the day!
• Tal being VERY excited all day, and being in charge of all things electronic.
• The R's escaping during the rainstorm in their jammies to play on the playset, and coming in SOPPING wet with playground mulch on them!
• Mommy & Daddy spending the entire day assembling cars and trains and games....
