  Camden is Perfect

Thank you for your prayers for Camden's head.  After nearly three months of worry (and wonder), we got a clean report from the pediatric neurosurgeon.  This was taken right after we got home from the last in a series of nerve-wracking hospital visits.

I'm posting quite late.  Amy and I saw a booth for baby helmets at the AAP show this weekend and it reminded me how blessed we were to come through this unscathed. It wouldn't have been the end of the world, but my nerves are shot.

Happy Birthday, Riley!

We had the most wonderful day on Riley's birthday. The Mario & Luigi hats were sleeper hits, the cake (still waiting for a remake) was a Super Mario blast, we played a Mario gold coin hunt game, and Pin the Moustache on Mario (gross but fun). We went to the zoo and fed the giraffes--very fun until a long, gray tongue touched Riley.

Most of you know by now that the next morning my camera disappeared and we have been searching for it since. We're busy with picture remakes since that one day was so sadly lost. It was a terrific day and we have wonderful memories. And hats.

In Training

Riley decided to do some gymnastics on his own.  Hilarious.  You just never know what he is going to come up with.

This is one of the last pictures of him at age three.  His is the first birthday, so I have a really hard time when his comes around (October 21).  We had a lovely Mario theme, a fabulous (okay, hokey) Mario cake that I made, and a trip to the zoo!  It was a perfect day.  And now we have no proof, because the very next morning Reagan swiped the camera and hid it.  In the midst of the AAP planning crises, we have been ripping the house apart, looking for the thing.  Hopefully, we'll have the camera back soon.

What I Did for My Summer Vacation

Remember I kept saying I've been working on AAP?  This is it!  Bond Clinician was the star of the American Academy of Pediatrics' Pediatric Office of the Future at this week's National Convention & Exposition.  It was far more successful than we could have hoped or imagined, and Clinician performed beautifully in the booth and in the Pediatric Documentation Challenge.  And we had a great team together, so it was a blast.

We worked with a fantastic team, both at home (Sharon, Marketing, Development, Implementation even trained up some people going with us, Ravi was pulling all-nighters even while we were there) and on the road.  I have been working since June with Gregg Alexander (www.madisonpediatric.com), who made it possible for us to be a part of this and spread the word about Clinician...we really are grateful to be surrounded by so many supportive friends.

They Like Us...They Really, Really Like Us!
So Microsoft ended up being fabulous to work with.  The new Vista product has AAP-approved parental controls in it, so we helped them distribute a free copy to each pediatrician who was willing to experience the Pediatric Office of the Future. Not bad--look at our software, take a Microsoft Internet Safety quiz (built in our software), and get a $350 copy of Vista for free.  Only that wasn't enough for some of those doctors.  They were trying to get MORE.  Amazing.  Anyway, the point here is that they liked us so much (I think)--we love how our logo is so much bigger and higher than the rest of the booth here.  Am I still in high school?   They are sending us this panel to keep!
  The Lucky Car

The lady at the rental car place told us this was a lucky car.  She was right.  The freight didn't make it to the Moscone (not so lucky) and Mark and I somehow crammed two pallets of equipment into the little Isuzu.  It took two hours to get back, with my feet on the dashboard.  Thankfully, we had Amy's lucky phone with the directions.  Not so lucky that I forgot the $600 GPS that the company bought for travel purposes (oops).

Very fun indeed.

  October 31 Fun

In spite of it being a not-so-cute holiday, we have a sweet time on Halloween.  This was our fifth year on the block, and a rare evening out visiting with neighbors.  Riley looks a little frustrated here because we made him take a chocolate break (he is DEFINITELY my kid) for the photos.

Below are the individual photos...this one of Cam is not his best, but definitely the funniest.  He is just now nine months, and the costume is smaller on him than it was on the R's when they were a year.

Now of course Riley was supposed to be the frog and Reagan was supposed to be Blue, and we had a costume fitting a month ago. But two seconds before our friends came to the door, Riley decided he needed to be Blue again.  Thank goodness Reagan is flexible.

Tal made a cute H.P., although this wasn't the best shot of the outfit.  If you are a Muggle in the Know, you will understand that our neighbors were amused that he was dressed as Harry, rather than Harry's blond, Slytherin enemy.  Cara, of course, looked like a perfect young Hermione...she probably would have made a better one in the movies!
