september sagas: school, scans, and swimming

  Back to the Grind
Routines are good!

We're back to school. Tal completed Unit 1 (that is 10% of Grade 4) in two weeks and one day! If only the rest of the year could be so smooth. He is doing a lovely blog at www.talbondjournal.blogspot.com in lieu of a written journal, and he has discovered The Hardy Boys mysteries (after finishing the icky Series of Unfortunate Events). His book club starts up next week...how fun is that?

And here you can see my little one with the lopsided dimples.

  Little Fish

All the kids are still swimming. Tal is mastering his strokes and you can see that Riley has become quite the little fish. Reagan isn't sure if he loves or hates the pool yet.

Riley LOVES flying high...it is pretty amazing. He usually comes right back up and says, "Again, Daddy." My favorite day was when he went a little TOO high. He came up out of the water and said, "Reagan's turn!"

    More Camden
Because we can't get enough.

Happy Anniversary, Mom & Dad! A silly poem for you:

Forty years of being spouses:

Two daughters, three houses…

A lot of Mustangs, six grandsons…

Laughter?  We’re still making tons!

So the time has come, we reckon

At 5 PM on September twenty-second

To gather this group with kids so cute

At the Bond house for a photo shoot.

Pictures will take about an hour

(And then the smiles will start to sour)

In seven days at proofs we’ll peek

After we order it takes two more weeks.

Think up colors so we don’t look tacky

I thought maybe red or white and khaki?

I hope you enjoy, I’m sure you’ll be able…

A photo of the family, and not at a table!

We love you, Mom & Dad…Gamma & Potter!

  Silly Tal and Not-So-Silly News

Our friend showed us this silly link, so we uploaded a picture of Tal.  Extra funny is the scuba scene, where you get to see his polo button-down with the scuba suit.

Today was Park Day...and also the day we got a bad report on Camden's adorable, round head. According to the CT scan, two of the plates on the top of his head are closing too quickly. The next episode of this adventure is a visit to a pediatric neurosurgeon, who we pray will say he is fine. As Travis so eloquently stated, "No one is going to cut my baby's head open!"
