the waiting begins

Daddy & Mommy raced through the rain & traffic to get to the hospital by 8:00 a.m.   But I decided to hang out with Mom for a few more hours.  Twelve, to be exact! Daddy found out they had wireless Internet, so he mostly just stayed in the corner tapping away.  Mommy thinks one of the weirdest parts of having a baby is seeing the empty baby station all day.

finally deciding to show up

I finally decided it was time to greet the world.  I came really fast and tried not to cause any trouble.  9 pounds, 3 ounces...good thing they didn't wait any longer!  My parents say they're going to use my picture here for blackmail later.

taking care of me

We had the best ever time in the labor & delivery room.  Jessica here was our nurse, and she stayed late so she could be there when I was born.  I understand she has a daughter who is a model, and she is only five years older than me!

resting up...

...so I can keep Mommy & Daddy awake when we get home.  This is a rare photo below of me in my Winnebago.  My parents are spoiling me and holding me every minute.  Let's hope this keeps up!

official photo

I can't keep my eyes open long enough for anyone to get a picture of them!  Mommy is absolutely fascinated with my dimples, but I won't let her get a picture of those, either. My hair is darker than expected, and Daddy is giving Mommy a hard time about it.

My name is officially Camden Dexter Bond.  My Gramma doesn't like my middle name. Mommy & Daddy called me that before I was born, and they just couldn't give it up.

time to go home

Mommy & Daddy are all mushy about their time in the hospital.  It was terrific to spend time together.  They tell me I have three brothers, a cat, and a dog waiting at home.  I'm a little nervous.

never wake a sleeping baby

That is the motto.  For now, I'm on a good schedule with 5-hour naps during the day and 5-hour awake periods during the night.  We'll see how long everyone can hold up.

Stay posted for more pictures...Mommy is a camera fanatic!

meeting my brothers

When we got home, the R's had made a birthday cake for me.  Tal got home a little later and won the Kid of the Year award by telling Mommy she looks like a model without her big tummy.  Click on the video to see my warm welcome from the red-headed middle children.
